Sutherland Shire Football Referees Association

We are the senior refereeing branch in the Sutherland Shire and we cover all full field matches for the Sutherland Shire Football Association. We are currently taking registrations for persons 14 years and older (or who will be 14 years or older soon after the relevant course).

2025 Courses

STEP 1 - Complete the online Laws of the Game course on etrainu (see note below - if coming to the full course on 8 Mar, you may be able to skip this step). LINK - learn.footballaustralia.com.au

STEP 2 - Register with the Branch "Sutherland Shire Football Referees Association" on PlayFootball. LINK - www.playfootball.com.au/register 

 

STEP 3 - Register on etrainu for the Junior Match Official course OR the Senior Match Official Course (the latter if you are 18+ and have prior Football experience). LINK - learn.footballaustralia.com.au 

 

As part of this registration for Step 3 you will need to attend one of the following:

•Sat 8 Mar: 10am - 4pm* Harrie Dening

•Wed 12 Mar: 5.30 – 7.30pm Harrie Dening

•Sun 16 Mar: 4pm – 6pm Harrie Dening

*  This course is longer as it is designed to complete both the online and in-person courses on the same day. Referees who have completed the online course need only attend from 1.30pm on 8/3

There is a $120 cost involved in registration to cover your basic uniform and equipment (other than shoes and a watch). This is paid on registration.

Football Australia charges an additional $33 fee for the JMO or SMO course - this is paid direct to them on registration via their website.
